Kelleris Vingård

Kelleris' Vineyard is located in North Zealand near the Øresund coast, in a beautiful protected area near Louisiana Museum and Krogerup Folk High School. The vineyard is owned by Susanne and Søren Hartvig Jensen.

The vineyard was established in 2001. On a southeast-facing slope with favorable growing conditions, the first 1,000 vines of various varieties were planted. The following year, an additional 3,000 vines of the Rondo variety were added. Today, the vineyard has a total of 4,200 vines covering 1.3 hectares—equivalent to about 6 kilometers of vine trellises.

The wines from Kelleris Vineyard are named *Utopia*, a nod to the utopian project that a vineyard in Denmark originally seemed to be, but which today is a reality.

In 2007, the vineyard built its own underground winery, where all winemaking processes take place.

The goal of Kelleris Vineyard is to produce high-quality commercial Danish wine. The *Utopia* wines from Kelleris Vineyard are made with passion and a focus on quality. The vines are carefully tended and pruned throughout the growing season, and green harvesting is practiced.

The grapes are handpicked and sorted to ensure that only the very best are used. Vinification is done in a traditional manner, with fermentation in open vats and manual stirring. The wines are aged mainly in new French, American, or Hungarian oak barrels.
