Our soils are our highest commodity. Our vines grow on these, they give them strength and provide them with nutrients. Good, healthy soils are the basis for high-quality wines. In organic viticulture, we create this basis by building up humus in the soil, a diverse, species-rich greening and of course by dispensing with herbicides.
Our vines are in the vineyards around Uelversheim, Dienheim, Eimsheim and Guntersblum. Our most important vineyards are the TAFELSTEIN and the AULENBERG in Uelversheim as well as the TAFELSTEIN in Dienheim. The table stone stretches along the districts of Uelversheim and Dienheim with a view of the Rhine.
In the Aulenberg, the vines stand on fertile loess clay. This is ideal for powerful Burgundy wines and fruity white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Scheurebe.
In the Tafelstein the vines grow on loess with a calcareous clay substrate. Here grow Riesling and Pinot Noir, which shine through pronounced fruit aromas, but also body and strength.
