Weingut Galler

The winemaker couple at the Galler winery in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße have found their very own way to wine. They follow what nature dictates and only take on supporting roles themselves.

The speciality of the winery, which is on the way to becoming an organic winery, are the Cocovinos, cuvées made from traditional grape varieties and new varieties - the whites are fragrant and soft with a powerful mouthfeel and the reds are spicy and complex with light woody notes.

With their very own ideas, Ansgar and Katja Galler took over a small, traditional business in 2009, which from then on built up a good reputation as the Galler winery.

With 11 hectares of vineyards in prime locations, the two found a way to realise their vision of wines that are as natural as possible.

They rely on fungus-resistant grape varieties, known as PIWI grape varieties, which allows them to do without pesticides.
