About the winery

I took over our family winery as the 12th generation five years ago, continuing a long tradition in Gimmeldingen in the heart of the Pfalz. We focus on Riesling and Pinot Noir, working certified organic, harvesting by hand, and fermenting spontaneously. Our wines mature in traditional wooden barrels, some still dating back to my grandfather’s cellar. The style is modern, elegant, light in alcohol and with clarity, precision and shaped by our soils. Meininger names us part of “the new Palatinate generation.” Our single-vineyard Riesling from Gimmeldinger Meerspinne was awarded Best German Dry Single-Vineyard Riesling at Best of Riesling (out of 1,300+ wines). In January 2026, Der Feinschmecker named us “Discovery of the Year”, praising a “highly consistent and convincing collection – from easy-drinking Rieslings to sharply defined single-vineyard wines, every bio-certified wine is perfectly on point.” Our wines are listed in top gastronomy, from classic cuisine to Michelin-starred restaurants. We currently export to Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Quebec, Ontario and South Korea and are looking for long-term import partners who value authenticity, craftsmanship and origin-driven wines.
