Weingut Berizzi
About the winery
The J.J. Berizzi winery is located in Edenkoben in the Südpfalz region of Germany. Janina and Julius Berizzi founded the estate in 2019 and, within a short time, have developed it into a clearly defined and independent winery. Today they farm around 19 hectares of vineyards in and around Edenkoben as well as in the neighbouring and more southern village of Frankweiler. The focus lies on organically farmed vineyards and a precise, craftsmanship-driven style of winemaking. The wines are intended to express their origin - shaped by the diverse soils of the Südpfalz, ranging from sandstone to limestone. Alongside classic Palatinate varieties, the Pinot family is also playing an increasingly important role. Looking ahead, the estate is placing an even stronger focus on the great vineyard sites of the Südpfalz. Initial parcels in Kastanienbusch will become part of this path in the future. The aim is to further highlight the distinct identity of the Südpfalz - through wines that make origin, structure and the passage of time tangible in the glass.
