Czech National Wine Center
About the winery
At the Czech National Wine Center table, three distinct producers are presented side by side – offering a focused snapshot of contemporary Czech cool-climate wine. From biodynamic Bohemia to iconic whites from the Pálava Hills, the selection highlights precision whites, evolving PIWI work and wines built for gastronomy rather than volume-driven markets. Wine Cellar Kutná Hora The only fully Demeter-certified winery in the Czech Republic, working in a strictly biodynamic regime with its own herbal preparations and no synthetic inputs. The style is driven by clarity, tension and site rather than extraction. Alongside lively, unfiltered PET-NAT showing a wilder, beautifully refreshing side of Czech cool-climate wine, the range includes Cabernet Blanc handled with restraint; the 2024 vintage received Diamond Trophy and Double Gold at Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards. website: vinokutnahora.cz/en/ SONBERK Set on one of Moravia’s most iconic vineyard sites with sweeping views of the Pálava Hills and striking architecture, Sonberk is a benchmark producer of elegant, food-driven white wines. Hand-harvested fruit, precise vineyard work and a strong sense of place define the winery’s style, especially in its signature Rieslings and Pálavas. Clean, confident style with strong on-trade appeal. website: sonberk.cz/en/ Volařík Winery With 80 hectares of its own vineyards near the Pálava Hills, Volařík Winery is a leading specialist in terroir-driven white wines from Mikulov. Known as the “Kingdom of Welschrieslings,” the winery excels in expressing the mineral depth of Pálava through flagship Welschrieslings and aromatic Pálavas, while also exploring organic wines and PIWI varieties.
