The Idea Behind It

Our winery was founded in 1711 and has been run as a traditional family winery ever since. The excellent soils and microclimatic conditions in Forst have always favored the cultivation of Riesling. These optimal conditions, combined with great care in both cultivation and production, yield Riesling wines of the highest quality.

Our main goal is to produce authentic dry wines with distinctive typicity that clearly reflect the character of the terroir, a goal that is excellently supported by our biodynamic farming practices.

The Path to Today

After the War of the Spanish Succession, during which Forst was largely destroyed by French troops under General Melac, Heinrich Wilhelm Reichardt was among the first winemakers to rebuild.

He established the estate at Weinstrasse 67, now known as Weingut Acham-Magin, and opened the tavern “Zum Engel” (now Gutsausschank Acham-Magin) just a year later in 1712.
