Cool climate wines are wines that are cultivated and thrive in regions with sunny days, cool nights, and a long ripening period.
All our wines are produced with minimal or no intervention, preserving the pure and expressive Nordic fruitiness and acid balance.
BARFOD VIN consists of Lise and Povl Barfod, architects who traded building meetings for getting their hands dirty in the soil, and Heinrich Hartl, an Austrian winemaker and producer with five generations of experience, adhering to the principles of perfectionist simplicity and gentle vinification.
