In 1971, Reimund Stumpf drove his black Beetle for the first time from Thüngersheim to Frickenhausen to visit his new girlfriend, Carmen Bickel. In 1976, he married her. Since then, they have successfully worked to establish a winery on shell limestone and colored sandstone.
Baden meets Franconia. This is today's Bickel-Stumpf family winery, with winemaker Matthias from Frickenhausen and his wife Manuela from Bühl near Baden-Baden. United by their passion for wine and shared values, Matthias and Manuela are leading the family winery into the future together.
Mama Carmen and Papa Reimund are still pitching in enthusiastically. This is how a family business works: everyone puts their heart and soul into the operation to produce the finest wines.
