At the far end of Näsudden, between Hablingbo and Fidenäs, the vines grow next to the sea and amidst the wind turbines.
Most people know that the sun shines the brightest and most on Gotland, but fewer people realise that the soil is also optimal for viticulture.
With its location near the sea, there is no frost and with vines so close to the sea in a limestone-rich landscape, unique flavours are created when the grapes ripen.
Producing Champagne according to the ‘champagne method’ as Gute vineyard does is unique in its kind and gives an exclusive feeling when walking between the vineyards on southern Gotland.
The fields slope down to the sea and the plants that have withstood the wind for over 20 years produce the best quality. At the same time, the wind keeps bugs and vermin away and dries the vines quickly after rain.
Walking on Näsudden is blissful and at the far end of the headland there is a nature reserve where the sea exists on both sides of the headland
All production at Gute Vingård follows organic methods.
