Weingut Philipps Mühle

We, the two winegrowers Thomas and Martin Philipps, are recultivating abandoned vineyards against the current trend in order to preserve the region's millennia-old winegrowing tradition.

Our 6.4 hectares of vineyards (started in 2005 with 0.3 hectares) are mostly on Devonian slate soils on steep slopes and are planted predominantly with Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Roter Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, as well as new fungus-resistant grape varieties.

As winegrowers, we work in and with nature all day long and produce a natural product that brings new and exciting challenges every year. That is why we work according to the guidelines of organic viticulture and are a member of ECOVIN.

This results in characteristic wines characterised by minerality and fruity aromas.
