Tim is a complete newcomer to the wine industry. As a full-time journeyman at the Heymann-Löwenstein winery, he started his own wine cellar project in Winningen at the Mosel.
With a plot of land owned by his uncle (0.5 hectares) and other small leased vineyards (0.5 hectares) - vineyards in the Domgarten and terraced sites in Brückstück and Röttgen) in Winningen - crystal-clear terroir Rieslings are produced here with minimal effort. The vines grow on grey slate, brown slate, loam and loess soils. The grapes are harvested by hand during several passes through the rows. This produces pure, elegant, sophisticated mineral wines with lively acidity.
The area is also a refuge for exotic flora and fauna. Today, a young generation of winegrowers stands for the future of Winningen viticulture. Well-trained and in harmony with nature, they stand for the preservation of a very special cultural landscape and for top wines of international calibre.
