Schloss Hallburg

Hallburg Castle and its lands and vineyards have belonged to the Counts of Schönborn since 1806. Originally built as a Celtic refuge, viticulture has been practised there for over 1000 years.

Today, under the management of Paul Graf von Schönborn, the production of delicious grape juice is still an important branch of the family-run winery. The team led by estate manager Georg Hünnerkopf focuses on high-quality products and their sustainable production in harmony with nature.

Since July 2018, Weingut Schloss Hallburg has been a certified organic winery at all levels, which requires a great deal of passion and expertise. On the following pages, you can find out why we stick to it and what yields it produces!

The vineyards are planted with typical Franconian varieties, first and foremost Silvaner, followed by Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. The exceptional character of the wine island, in which the Schloss Hallburg wine estate also participates, can be tasted in the wines and brandies.

Shell limestone, Keuper and marl give the products a savoury, spicy note that can only be found here.

The local climate and soils as well as the experienced handling of these factors determine the quality of our wine.

Many awards and happy customers confirm the success of our claim.
