The name Honold has stood for tradition with foresight since 1938.

In the third generation, Ludwig Honold, together with his son Matthias, creates wines from healthy grape harvests with a very specific purpose and finely balanced nuances. Wines that do not conform to clichés. Wines that do not aim to please everyone, but stand confidently on their own. Wines that, like him, do not push to the forefront, but, like him, have a story to tell. Wines that accompany: a good meal; a convivial evening; a true moment of enjoyment.

That’s why we work with nature on the Hummelberg. It takes more time. It means more effort. And in the end, it also results in lower yields. But the balanced interplay between responsible influence and intentional letting-go allows our vines to grow healthily and produces grapes with incomparable flavor potential. A liveliness that finds its way into our wine.
