The personality of a wine emerges from the interplay of location, soil, the vine's climate — and the people behind it. For us, winemaking means recognizing and respecting nature's rhythms and bringing their harmony into the glass.
In vibrant vineyards, authentic wines grow, proudly reflecting their origins in taste.
Vital vines provide us with healthy harvests for dynamic young wines we can trust.
We aim to provide guidance while stepping back, allowing the wine to fully develop its profile. We accompany the wine, giving it the time it needs to evolve naturally, so we can bring it to the glass in its purest form.
The result of our work is honest wines that stand on their own. The sum of their origin and development can be tasted in the depth of the wines. Truly distinctive characters.
Our wines grow on the Bavarian shores of Bodensee, at around 400 meters above sea level, in a typical cool climate region with plenty of sunshine and close proximity to the Alps. The lake acts as a natural heater, shaping our climate.
Additionally, our grapes benefit from regular Föhn weather conditions. They thrive near the lake on gravel and sandy soils or on moraine rocks left behind by glaciers from the last Ice Age, forming hills known as drumlins around the lake. Exposed to the south, the vines—and we from the vineyard—enjoy breathtaking views over the lake and toward the Alps.
