Vibrant Terroir Wines from Our Beautiful Vineyards on the Edge of the Pfälzer Wald Biosphere Reserve

"... Wine is a cultural asset.
With my wines, I aim to reflect a strong sense of origin.
I cultivate traditional, old grape varieties from the Pfalz region, which ferment spontaneously in Pfalz oak in our natural limestone vaulted cellar.
Genuine originals—expressive, bone-dry mineral ambassadors of our region ..."

Closest to the Sun

Our vines grow in Leistadt, high up on the edge of the Pfälzer Wald. Our village has never been subject to land consolidation, so we manage very small-scale plots here. Many of our vineyards lie directly within the Berntal nature reserve.

We work organically on about 2 hectares, focusing on the typical varieties of our region: Riesling, Sylvaner, Portugieser, and Traminer.

In addition to winemaking, we graze our sheep in the Berntal nature reserve. This helps us enhance biodiversity and support the rich mosaic of our cultivated landscape.

Our Small Size Allows Us to Give Each Vine Stock Sufficient Attention.
