A New Generation - The tradition continues...
Since July 1, 2023, Alois Bernhard has taken over the family winery and is fully committed to continuing the philosophy of his aunt, Christine Bernhard, who is known as a pioneer in organic viticulture.
He completed his winemaking training at Dr. Bürklin-Wolf in Wachenheim and immediately took a leading role in the 2022 harvest with us.
In parallel, he is studying viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim, gaining valuable knowledge for his vision of the winery.
"In the near future, we want to focus exclusively on great, dry Rieslings and Pinot wines with site character, and vinify them in a natural way according to Demeter and Ecovin guidelines. The Zellertal, with its magnificent Grand Cru sites, offers us the best conditions for this." — Alois Bernhard
